Milton Keynes Dons are set to line up a squad featuring Wrexham loanee Dan Barlaser for their upcoming match against Huddersfield Town on Saturday. The 31-year-old captain Alex Gilbey returned to full training after a knee ligament injury, while Rushian Hepburn-Murphy remains in recovery.

Wrexham Loan Adds Right-Side Strength

Barlaser, signed on a season-long loan from Wrexham, could go straight into the side. The club appears keen to keep a back three, and Barlaser would add strength to the right-hand side where only Gethin Jones has been fit so far this season.

Midfield Reinforcements

Captain Alex Gilbey, who suffered knee ligament damage in the first pre-season game of the summer against Maidenhead United, has re-joined full training. His return boosts the numbers in the middle of the park for boss Paul Warne. Rushian Hepburn-Murphy is still waiting on his return to full training after a few weeks out.

Squad Stability After Draw

Following MK Dons’ 2-2 draw with Oxford United on opening day, much of the side looks to remain in place for the first game back at MK1 since April. Eye-catching performances from new comers Dan Barlaser and Ryan Wintle, as well as striker Aaron Collins, are likely to keep them in the side to face the Terriers.
