MK Dons Celebrate Inclusion Football Success

Milton Keynes Dons Community Trust's inclusion football squads have had a breakthrough year, with over 100 players, family members, volunteers, and support workers attending a celebration event at Stadium MK. The event shone a light on the achievements of the Dons badge throughout the 2025-26 campaign.

What happened?

The celebration event was held at Stadium MK, where guests received a medal for their role representing the Dons badge. Awards were also handed out to outstanding players and volunteers, with each team selecting a Players' Player, Most Improved, and Manager's Player of the Year winner.

Why it matters for Milton Keynes Dons

The inclusion football squads have seen significant growth, with two youth teams and three adult teams representing the Dons badge this season. The club has returned to play in the BOBI League and partnered with Special Olympics for the first time, establishing a new Comets squad for players aged 5-11 who require additional support.

What comes next?

The Trust's adult physical activity sessions have been launched in partnership with Milton Keynes Council's MK Admiral Nurses, engaging 200 people each week and delivered in seven care homes across the city. Georgina Fielden, Inclusion Officer at MK Dons Community Trust, said, "Seeing participants thrive in environments which sit outside of their comfort zone has been a real highlight this year."

  • Whites: Most Improved - Curtis Pittam; Players Player - Joseph David-O
