Milton Keynes Dons have signed midfielder Ryan Barnett on a season-long loan from Wrexham. The 26-year-old, who can play as a winger or wing-back, becomes manager Paul Warne's seventh summer signing. Barnett, who previously spent 14 years at Shrewsbury Town before joining Solihull Moors in 2021, moved to Wrexham in February 2023. He was part of the squad that secured three consecutive promotions for the Red Dragons, lifting them from the National League to the Championship. Barnett made 112 appearances for Wrexham across three-and-a-half seasons. Warne praised Barnett's athleticism and attacking traits, stating: 'He's a player I tried to sign before. He's a really athletic wing-back who wants to cross the ball and run forward with the ball, which fits our style.' The deal marks the latest addition to MK Dons' summer recruitment, with Barnett set to bolster the squad's width and attacking options.
