Milton Keynes Dons prepare for their second EFL Trophy group game at home to Brentford U21 on Tuesday evening. The match at Stadium MK kicks off at 19:00 UK time in Group South of the competition.
The Dons began their Trophy campaign with a convincing 4-1 win over Crawley Town on September 22. That result gives them a perfect record in the tournament so far, averaging four goals per match. Their League One form, however, has been a struggle, with the team currently 22nd in the table with just six points from seven games.
Opponent overview
Brentford's under-21 side enter the match after a 1-0 away win at Bromley in the Trophy. They have averaged one goal per game in the competition this season.
Recent form
Mike Williamson's side have drawn three of their last five matches across all competitions. Their most recent outing was that 4-1 Trophy triumph, which preceded a 0-0 league draw at AFC Wimbledon. The team's next League One assignment is a home game against seventh-placed Reading on October 10. Check the latest standings to see how the table looks.
