Milton Keynes Dons will not be hosting any pre-season games at Stadium MK this summer in preparation for the League One season. The club have confirmed Paul Warne’s side will play seven matches in the lead up to their season, which kicks off with the Carabao Cup on the weekend of August 7-8, but none of them will be played on home soil. Dons will get their first taste of action on Friday July 10 when they take on Maidenhead United at York Road, before departing for Croatia on their pre-season training camp. There, they will face NK Istra before returning back to Milton Keynes. On Wednesday July 22, they will face Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur but the game will be played behind closed doors. As done in previous years, the first-team will be split on Saturday July 25, with some heading to National League side Wealdstone at Grosvenor Vale while others will be taking on an unnamed Premier League opponent, again behind closed doors. Three days later, Dons will head to former League Two counterparts Basingstoke Town. The exact details of the final match are yet to be confirmed.
